Cooking Parties!

I had such a great experience last week teaching at my first off site cooking party. The hosts were so gracious, and everyone had such a fun time! Besides learning how to cook a Mediterranean meal from scratch, it was a great way for a family that lives far apart to come together and have a fun bonding experience. Great way for friends, family, and co-workers to do something different, and learn a new recipe.. View the sample menu or create your very own! Regular classes start up Jan.14th..

Shopping info and October Classes

Hello all, its been a fun time meeting new people and cooking up some of my favorite dishes with you all. I wanted to share a couple places I like to go get my ingredients. I tend to go to India Sweets and Spices on Sherman Way and Topanga for all my basic Indian ingredients. You can find that there spices come in larger amounts and quite reasonable than your local grocery store. Check them out! Also Sprouts has been one of my go to places now as well. I like there produce, always fresh, and I also like that I can buy nuts, and grains in bulk quantities.

Thanks again, Ill be adding some fun classes as the holidays approach. Check out the website for classes still offered this month..

Updated October Class Schedule

Hello everyone, I've changed the menu selection up a bit, and added a few more classes by request from a few students. Check out the website, and the new specials I've offered. Sign up for a class with  a friend today!

Remember sign up for two classes in October and get one free weekday class to use anytime!

Introductory Class

What a great class I had yesterday! Tandoori Chicken with Basmati Rice, accompanied by a Cucumber Raita, Roasted Veggies and Naan Bread. Chicken turned out very moist and delicious! Its amazing what a marinade with yogurt can do to the texture and flavor of chicken breast! Going forward I had great tips from my clients suggesting I have prepackaged spices on hand for the dish that requires certain ethnic spices not everyone is familiar with or hard to find at your local supermarket. I am working on having certain spices and paste ready for purchase after class so its easy for you to recreate that meal easily at home without having to go and search for it. Thanks to everyone that came and supported me..

Here are a couple snapshots of yesterday's dishes.

Cheers
